To ensure everyone’s safety and that store visits are enjoyable for everyone, we have created several rules for dog owners and their dogs when entering stores:
| 1. | Dogs must be kept
close and be under control at all times. |
| 2. | Dog owners must be willing
to compensate the store for any damage caused. |
| 3. | Dogs must not
be wet enough that they will shake to dry off. |
| 4. | Staff of the store have the right to ask any owner to remove
any disruptive dog (such as excessive barking) from the
store. In extreme cases they may ask owners not to return with their dog. |
If you know your dog gets excited when entering stores which stops you from
controlling them, then it would be a good idea to teach them to be calm / have
them
learn
to be calm.
There are some stores that have lots of room such as Indigo that have wide aisles
that would be good to start off in.
